Funding
Active commercial funding: PARK INNOVAARE is a commercial project financed by international companies and innovative SMEs, which, together with the Canton of Aargau, the local communities of Villigen and Würenlingen, the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) have founded an Aktiengesellschaft (joint-stock company under Swiss law), innovAARE AG, as the organizing institution and operating company of PARK INNOVAARE.
In addition to the company’s share capital, the participation model involves an annual contribution toward operating costs by each of the shareholders over a period of nine years. Operating costs are charged every January and cover innovAARE AG’s costs until it can develop its own sustainable income streams. The current financial commitments made by the 35 shareholders currently amounts to CHF 13,530,000, excluding share capital.
Funding will be increased on an ongoing basis through the expansion of the number of shareholders. The focus here will be on getting technology companies on board whose work complements that of the other companies there and contributes to the research success of the cluster.
