CONSTRUCTION SITE

EXPANDING HIGH-TECH PARK

The first development phase of Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare will see the construction of buildings with 35,000 square meters of floor space. Of those, about 23,000 square meters will be leasable areas, including: 

  • Laboratories
  • Workshops
  • Cleanrooms
  • Vibration-controlled areas
  • Office space
  • Meeting rooms
  • Conference rooms
  • Storage areas

The new campus will be directly connected to the Paul Scherrer Institute PSI site via an underpass.

VISUALIZATION OF THE FUTURE CAMPUS

Sustainable energy will drive and accelerate innovation at the new Switzerland Innovation PARK INNOVAARE campus

  • Solar energy is generated by solar panels on the roofs and facade.
  • The building envelope is made of renewable, CO2-neutral wood.
  • Heat recovery will provide 95% of Park Innovaare's heating needs.
  • Deep water cooling with river water will be used for cooling.
  • The buildings comply with the Swiss environmental standards MINERGIE and SIA380/1.

Winter 2019

With more than 200 guests, including partners, shareholders and key politicians, scientists and entrepreneurs, Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare broke ground on the construction of its new innovation campus. An investment of CHF 155 million by the CPV/CAP Coop pension fund enabled the start of this construction project.
