Cement and concrete are widely used in many areas and in different environments. The innovation of these materials leads to new solutions in engineering, construction, energy and many other industries. Representatives from several Swiss research institutions, such as EMPA, ETH Zurich, EPFL, PSI and FHNW, gathered today, 11th April 2016, to define and discuss current needs of its research and development. Organized by SLS Techno Trans AG, the event took place at PARK INNOVAARE’s deliveryLAB.

Identifying and assessing the role of large research facilities in the R&D in the cement and concrete industry as well as learning about the capacities of the Neutron and Synchrotron Sources at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) were the objectives of this workshop. To learn more about the results of the meeting please visit SLS Techno Trans AG’s website or contact Stefan Müller, Science Coordinator PSI and CEO SLS TT AG.
