Connecting science and industry
Switzerland has consistently ranked as the world's most innovative country, according to both the Global Innovation Index and the European Innovation Index. In order to offer marketable products and services, Swiss universities require ideal connections to the business world. This is why Switzerland Innovation, with its six locations including Park Innovaare, was established. The platform enables national and international companies of various kinds to advance their research activities in collaboration with Swiss universities and colleges as well as other companies.
GOAL
Acceleration of innovation
Facilitating the exchange between academia and industry helps to turn ideas into products and services that can be successfully marketed. At the same time, the close cooperation in one location accelerates the development processes for all parties involved and thus enables successful innovations.
Switzerland Innovation has the following objectives:
- Realization of successful R&D cooperations between private companies, Swiss universities, and other research partners
- Generation of domestic and foreign R&D investments in Switzerland
- Localization of domestic and foreign companies and research partners that create jobs and develop new marketable products, services, and processes
- Creation of a platform for accelerated implementation of research findings into marketable solutions
- Creation of attractive conditions for research groups and start-ups as catalysts for the localization of technological development of established companies
- Ensuring Switzerland's attractiveness and competitiveness through clear competence profiles at the individual locations as well as excellent conditions and services for our innovation partners
PARK INNOVAARE
Founding member
Park Innovaare is located near the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and is a founding member of Switzerland Innovation, the national network of innovation parks. This provides support to Park Innovaare and the companies based there. This includes networking between the locations as well as international marketing activities and the "Switzerland Innovation" brand.
